Edna Lumber Company was originally started as a small family business in 1947. With the family members continuing to strive for growth, the company was incorporated in 1967. Until 1995, the company had always been involved with a retail building materials business, along with its own construction crews which realized both commercial and residential projects. In May of 1995, the retail operation was sold in order to put emphasis on growth of the construction division and Mr. Atkinson became a partner. Deciding that they needed to change the name to reflect new ownership and the new direction of the company a dba was formed as Atkinson-Natsis Builders. In February of 1998, Mr. Atkinson purchased the company from the Natsis family and turned the direction to focus mostly on commercial construction. With this purchase and sole ownership a new dba was created and Atkinson & Associates Builders was born.

We pride ourselves on the custom craftsmanship and service that we have been able to offer to our customers, not only locally, but in other areas of the country as well. We have successfully completed commercial projects throughout Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia, Florida, Oklahoma and New Mexico. We have also gone as far as Monterrey and Guadalajara , Mexico. Our success emanates from hard work, determination, persistence of those involved and the responsibility we all take pride in.
